After America gained it's freedom from England, the had to make their own government, and so the Articles of Confederation was born.
It wasn't a very good government. Not after long did it fail. Shays Rebellion happened, and while no one really understands what happened, everyone knows that the Articles of Confederation failed.
After this, the new government was created, but certain people, we now call them anti-federalist, thought that the government was to powerful in the country, and wanted extra protection. After long debate, the Bill of Rights was created.
The point of the Bill of Rights is to make sure that everyone has protection and unalienable rights.
There is 14 rights n the Bill of Rights, but only 10 amendment.
